Celebration #1: Emily's Graduation from Texas Tech
What a glorious day in Lubbock! Emily graduated Saturday with approximately 660 other students. We were lucky enough to sit in the President's Suite for the ceremony. The speaker was Scott Pelley (Tech grad), 60 minute correspondent and his speech was great. The Chancellor was fun to listen to also. I hope all those graduates listened as closely as I did!
We had a few friends and family members over to her house afterwards for "Rosa's" fajitas and margaritas! What a great day!
Celebration #2: Dale's Gong Ceremony
On Wednesday, Dale will complete his 37th and final Proton radiation treatment. The Proton Center marks each completion with a Gong ring and reception! The Boedekers will join the Stovers to celebrate along with other patients and therapists that Dale has met and befriended along this journey! There will not ever be a more beautiful gong sound heard! Wish all the family could be here! It will be very liberating for Dale and Jackie!
