Having made it through possibly the worst year in my life, 2009, I had high hopes for 2010.
Now, after a mere 15 hours in 2010, I find myself in an small Hill Country hospital with an inflamed appendix! Some sort of twisted sense of humor, that after spending most of 2009 in a hospital with my dad - that 2010 would start in a hospital, too. Surgery completed and back at home recovering - but WOW what a crazy start to the new year.
Interesting occurrence this morning....as I lay in my hospital bed, I notice two tiny sparrows on my windowsill pecking at the glass. I keep my 'eye on the sparrow' and they both just stare back at me. I grab my camera and snap a couple of photos. I think it was my Dad...checking on me!
So glad the appendicitis occurred when it did, this was the only 'open' weekend I had in January! And, now my 2010 health insurance deductible is paid!

And I talked to you first week of August and the misadventures are continuing. What did you do? The gray cloud has got to brighten soon.
