In My Humble Opinion

This time of year...

I love this time of year.  Here in Texas, this is finally the time of year when you can wear just about anything in your closet with having to worry about 'burning up' in it.  The sky seems clearer and the fresh air from leaving windows and doors open is delightful.  My favorite Fall weekend in always Nascar weekend at Texas Motor Speedway.  I enjoy all three race weekends throughout the year, by the November races are the best!  The weather and the excitement of the last few Chase races make this a great long weekend.

This year is even better because Emily, Shelley, Steve and Evie are joining us!  Dennis really enjoys the races more when the kids join us.  I like watching him, watch the races.  It's not very often that a senior citizen gets to enjoy something equivalent to a "Candy Store" visit!  Dennis just loves to watch the drama between drivers as they manuever their cars around that 1-1/2 mile track.  Couple that with cooking outside and well, in his mind - life doesn't get any better than this!  I believe it might even rank up there with cruising!

Dennis will participate in a Mud Run this Thursday at Texas Motor Speedway.  I'll be cheering him on and hoping to get a few of the driver/runners autographs during this event.
