This Year's Christmas Letter

Greetings friends and family,

This has got to be the fastest and most awesome year ever for the Boedekers! We’ve had lots of family events and milestones in our family’s life.
Emily will be a Senior at Texas Tech at the end of this current semester. She’s busy with her fraternity, Mu Phi Epsilon. She also is working part-time and taking 17 hours! UGH!
She seems to still enjoy her tuba and the guys that make up the Tuba Studio. They traveled to Denver this summer for a conference.

Shelley graduated from Texas State University in May and promptly found a teaching position in the Pasadena Independent School District. She teaches 4th grade at Meador Elementary. She’s probably learning more than the kids are. She has several challenging students, but loves the kids anyway! She’s less than 6 months away from her wedding. Stephen is already a part of our family, but I guess this will make it legal! Her wedding is in June and they are planning a cruise to the Greek Isles for their honeymoon! I’m so jealous!

Dennis and I are still co-living between Pearland and Marble Falls. Work and a daughter still in college keep us from moving to Marble Falls full-time. Work hasn’t been exceptionally busy this year, but next year is going to be a “Barn-burner”!

We’ve cruised a couple of times this year and took the kids for a week’s vacation in Cozumel in May. Dennis thoroughly loved living on the island for a full week! Vacations like that are the highlights of our lives!

We’ve had several weddings in the family this year. Dennis’ niece, Angela married Jeremy in July and my nephew, Mike married Rachel in November. My other niece, Lauren will marry Bill on Dec. 30th. We’re getting lots of notes taken on weddings! Shelley’s fortunate to have all her cousin’s weddings as examples of how to throw spectacular weddings!

Dennis is training for the Houston Marathon. The race is Jan. 14, 2007. This will be his 3rd marathon! He’s still the family champion when it comes to fish caught at Lake LBJ.

I’m still playing bells at church and the rest of my time is spent at work, planning a wedding or packing to go somewhere!

We’re anxious for all that 2007 has in store for us. Emily will be one semester closer to student teaching and Shelley will be finalizing her wedding plans. Dennis and I will be in Marble Falls as often as possible.

We hope your holiday season is the best ever! We’re so thankful that we’ve been blessed with another healthy and happy year and hope that 2007 brings even bigger and better things.
